Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 April 2026
We teach plain English for a living, so here is our cookie policy written in it. Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They cannot run programs or read your files — they simply help a site remember things between visits.
The cookies this site uses
Strictly necessary
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — keeps your visit stitched together, including the security token that protects our contact form from abuse. Deleted when you close your browser.
- Consent cookie — remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we do not ask you again on every page. Kept for up to twelve months.
These cannot be switched off, because the site would stop working properly without them — like a classroom without a door.
Analytics
Only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we may set basic analytics cookies to learn which pages visitors read and where they get stuck. The data is aggregated: we see that "many people read the camps page", never that you did. Reject the banner and these are never set.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social media pixels quietly reporting your visit to anyone. Our marketing strategy is students telling their friends, which requires no cookies at all.
Changing your mind
Click the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page to reopen the consent banner and change your choice. You can also clear cookies directly in your browser — look for "Clear browsing data" (Chrome/Edge), "Manage Data" (Safari) or "Clear Data" (Firefox) in the privacy settings.
Third-party content
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the cookie-consent banner script from a public CDN (jsDelivr). These requests share your IP address with those services as a technical necessity, but neither sets tracking cookies through our site.
Questions
Ask us anything about cookies at [email protected]. Genuinely — someone on the team enjoys explaining this stuff.
